Alwyn Gillespie, Stoneybatter, Dublin 7

GILLESPIE Alwyn, artist, Dublin, died peacefully on Saturday, September 11th 2021, in the kind and attentive care of the Mater Hospital after a courageous struggle with cancer. Mother of Finn and the late Anna, she will be greatly missed by her daughter in law Jess, her grandchildren Giacomo, Giorgia and Bruno, by her brothers Paul and Julian, sister Sarah, sister in law Deirdre, brother in law John and many relatives and friends.

Reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Amiens Street, Dublin 1 from 3pm to 5pm on Wednesday, September 15th.

The funeral will take place at a private family burial in St Fintan’s, Sutton, on Thursday, September 16th. This will be followed by a celebration marking her life at a nearby venue, by invitation only.

Regan, May (née Scanlon), formerly of Mount Pleasant Lodge Nursing Home and The Plains, Boyle,
Co Roscommon, 14th September 2021, in her 90th year; peacefully in the dignified and excellent care
of the staff at Beneavin Lodge Nursing Home, Ballygall Road, Dublin 11. Predeceased by her
husband, Tommy (An Garda Siochana); her great-grandson Emmet; her siblings Jo, Brid and James.
Sadly missed by her children Florence (Fitzpatrick), Michael, Vincent and Des; son-in-law Brian;
daughters-in-law Mairead, Michelle, Caroline and Maya; grandchildren: Colm and Aisling (Kennedy);
Claire, Niall, Shane, Kathy and Shauna; Kieran, Laura and Erika; Sam, Kate, Ruby and Tom; her great
grandchildren: Rebekah and Chloe; Jack, Chloe and Ava; Ethan and Noah; Charlotte and James; her
brothers, Sean and Tommie; sisters Anne, Florrie and Margaret; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law,
cousins, nieces, nephews, Linu and all the team at Beneavin Lodge including her two pals Mary and
Bernadette and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Mass Friday 17th September 2021 at 11.30 am in St. Colmcille’s Church, Durrow, Co Offaly, R35 E924 followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. MCGETTRICK, (née Harris) Josephine (Vena) (late of Raheny, Dublin) 13th September 2021 peacefully after a long illness bravely borne, in the wonderful care of the staff of Beaumont Hospital and previously of Beaumont Lodge surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Hubert and devoted mother to Hubert Jr, Damien, Aidan, Colin and Aoife; She will be very sadly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren Luke, Cian, Ava, Adam, Alan and John, son-in-law Emmet, daughters-in-law Mirjam and Maureen, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.
