Szczecinska, Jolanta Irena, (née Hadas) – 15th October 2023, (of Artane and formerly of Katowice, Poland), unexpectedly and peacefully passed away, forever missed by her only daughter Aleksandra, grandchildren Daria and Edward, son-in-law to be Sebastian who was as a son to her with his parents Kasia and Edward, husband Leszek, siblings Marcel and Krzysztof, and all of the extended family. Loved by all, gentle loving spirit. With us forever.

Santry and formerly of Pimlico, Dublin. Late of Arthur Guinness & Sons, St James’s Gate.

At age 100, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Joan, his wife of 69 years, loving Dad to Geraldine, Tony, Adrienne, Gareth and Karen.

He will be dearly missed by his sons-in-law Paddy, Marty and John. Daughters-in-law Colette and Ulrike, his fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, his younger brother Gerard, his sister-in-law Angela, brother-in-law Des, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Oscar Traynor Rd, Coolock on Thursday afternoon October 19th from 4pm to 6pm.

Removal from his residence on Friday morning, October 20th 2023 to The Church of the Holy Child, Whitehall arriving for Requiem Mass at 10.30am followed by burial at Dardistown Cemetery.

Rekstiene, Antanina, Janina, Passed 13th October 2023, (Lucan and formerly Lithuania), peacefully at Lucan Nursing Home, surrounded by her daughters Ingrida, Nerija and her Partner Ray, her grandson Karolis, close family friends. Janina will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all her family and friends.

Reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Springdale Road, Raheny on Tuesday 17th October from 2.00-5.00pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to the St Monica’s Church, Edenmore arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.00am followed by burial at Balgriffin Cemetery.

Nugent, Barry – 13th October 2023, (Kilmore and formerly of Kilbarrack), (former Vice Chairman of Parnell’s G.A.A.), passed peacefully in the care of the staff of St Gabriel’s Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his brother Gerard. Sadly missed by his beloved partner Mary, children Louise, David, Colette, Wendy and Elaine, and their mother Vivienne, stepchildren Rory, David and Aprile, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, grandsons and granddaughters, sister Ann, nieces and nephews, extended family, wide circle of friends and neighbours.

Lodge Transitional Care Unit. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary, sister Mamie (Cooley) and brother Jim, son-in-law Kevin Kennedy and grandson Pádraig Conor. Wonderful father to his children, Veronica (Leaney), Billy, Martin, Shane (John), Suzanne (O’Toole), Myles and Claire. Will be greatly
missed by them and their spouses/partners, Ronan, Barbara, Neasa, Shirley, Joe, Niamh and Johnny. He will be deeply missed by his 22 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, brother Seán and sister Breda, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing in Thompson’s funeral home, Barrack Street, Waterford (X91 D300), on Tuesday evening from 7pm to 8.30pm and burial in the cemetery of Ballybricken Church of the Most Holy Trinity Without (X91 E042) after 10.30am Mass on Wednesday morning.

Power, Sarah (Sadie) née Rogers – 13th October 2023, (Coolock), passed peacefully in the care of the staff of Anovocare Nursing Home, previously at Anam Cara Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband Christy, her beautiful daughters, Carol and Faith. Loving mam of Marc, Liz, Christopher and Gaynor.
